The Future Sound Project presents: The Future Sound of Coventry Weekend! The Tin will be the place to be on Friday 25th and Saturday 26th October as eleven awesome acts are taking to the stage. This weekender is to celebrate the arrival of The Future Sound Project in Coventry which is brilliant for the local music scene – I for one am looking forward to be working alongside them.
Friday 25th October Line-Up:
George Pannell – A fast rising star of the West Midlands music scene, he started making solo music after numerous failed school ban attempts. Playing across Birmingham with a guitar, loop pedal and sample pad he released two demos in 2017. He then played his first full band show at the end of last year and released his debut single, “Fade Away” at the beginning of this year. This was followed shortly by his second, “Stay”.
Pretty Vile – A DIY punk duo with a lot of attitude. Kit Eaton-Kent and Erin West show you don’t need numerous band members to make a band. With both performing vocals whilst Kit has control of the guitar and Erin thrashing the drums. They really are a sight to behold. This year, they released their debut EP “Outdoor Movie Theatre”.
The Ellipsis – This alt-rock quartet have been a big part of the Coventry music scene for some time. With nine singles going back to 2014, they are guaranteed to put on a good show. Their latest single is “Grow” which is another banger.
The Mojo City Rebels – An original rock band based in Rugby playing nothing but cool classic rock. Last year they released their debut EP which shares the band name.
The Marilyns – A brand new band from Coventry who supported George Parnell on another occasion.
Saturday 26th October Line-Up:
Candid – An indie rock band who are definite favourites in the Coventry music scene. Recently were due to play Y Not Festival (cancelled due to adverse weather conditions) and Coombe Weekender sharing the main stage with the likes of The Libertines, Tom Grennan and Circa Waves. They have seven singles out there, the most recent being the brilliant “Concrete Jungle”.
Free Galaxy – An alt-rock quartet from Kenilworth who have had a busy summer as of far including opening Godiva this year. They carry a lot of energy and always put on a show. With four singles already released, their latest being “Leave Me”, they are a band who continue to put their own stamp on the local music landscape.
AutoPilot – An indie trio from the West Midlands playing big hooks and banging choruses to get the crowd going. They released two singles last year, “Invincible” and “Can You Feel The Love”.
Easy Company – Playing a mix of hard rock and indie the young four-piece promise to get you moving. This year they played Godiva after winning the Godiva Calling Under 18 heats.
Souki – An experimental music project based in Coventry, comprised of singer/multi-instrumentalist Eleanor Price, multi-instrumentalist Joe Hall, guitarist Joe Hunt and percussionist Max Thatcher.
Naomi Jandio – Talented solo multi-instrumentalist based in Coventry.
