This week hasn’t been too bad to be honest.
I know…shock! I mean I’ve had lots of work to do but it is all starting to pay off and I’m beginning to get a sense of what I need to do in January during exam season. It’s going to come around before I know it!
One negative thing that happened was the fridge breaking however. That was fun surviving without a fridge for a few days. Thankfully, my friend let me put stuff in his fridge in his flat but it still wasn’t ideal…and his flatmates ate my yoghurt! But the sourness of that was quickly replaced with joy when I found out I had been successful in getting a role as a World Cup Cricketeer at Edgbaston Cricket Ground next summer. Considering I was interviewed three months ago it was nice to finally hear something to be honest. Ha ha.
10,000 applications…6,000 interviews…4,000 roles across eleven grounds (in ten cities) for this forthcoming World Cup. I am very excited for it.
I have been doing a fair bit of reflection this week. Started to write my end of year post after looking through all my photos from 2018 (so far). Musically, I feel like I have done a lot. Not only with this blog but also my drumming and gig experiences. Anyway…more of that at the end of the month!
In the meantime, you should check out my campaign running up to Christmas: #24DaysOfMusicmas! I talked about it last week.
Everyday I am posting a track by a small artist onto my Instagram story and Twitter feed as well as a link to a playlist I am compiling. Check out the playlist so far here. And make sure you go and follow my social media accounts to keep up to date! It is important for those artists and I have already received lovely feedback.
That’s about it for this week. Short and sweet.
